  • Wide knowledge of environments and motivations
  • Positive approach
  • A good sense of humour
  • Enthusiasm and self-motivating
  • Calm and professional
  • Ability to work in a team or on a one to one basis

I have gained vast experience from a wide variety of occupations as well as raising a family.   With firsthand experience in dealing with traumatic events in my personal life, including the tragic death of my son and overcoming debts, coupled with indepth training, I believe I am in an excellent position to help and benefit others.

1994:Following the murder of my son, I became aware of the need for genuine, sincere and empathetic Counsellors.  Consequently, at my own cost and in my own time, I took the necessary courses and gained the relevant qualifications with the objective of pursuing this specialist vocation.

December 1998 - June 2003: Working with Dr Hugh Campbell at the Freedom Health Centre, Plymouth, for one full day each week seeing 6 – 8 clients, working mainly with substance misuse.

To Date: In addition to private clients, I currently work with BUPA & “Care First” on a referral basis, covering a wide range of issues.  I also work closely with the Road User Support Service (RUSS) providing psychological treatment for clients affected by a road traffic incident.  Currently I work with an average of 75 – 90 clients per annum.
